This workshop, to be hosted in Adelaide, will be the one of five workshops leading up to the National buildingSMART Conference in Sydney Sept 2009.

The workshop will be chaired by Jennifer MacDonald of Connell Wagner and examine engineering - structure & building services - and related issues in the context of the emerging use of BIM.

John Held of Russell Yelland will discuss recent projects using BIM.

The workshop will complement the efforts of BEDP to establish a BIM pilot, under consideration to be sponsored by the SA Government agency DTEI. 

The CRC for Construction Innovation will be publishing it's national BIM Guidelines Document and industry feedback on this is sought.

The aim of this workshop is to specify BIM topics of importance to the South Australian construction sector and develop a presentation and/or report for the national buildingSMART Conference.

Progressive results of the workshops will be hosted on the buildingSMART website.
