This workshop, which is generously being sponsored by Exactal with venue hosting by ARUP, will provide an overview of IFC, its origin, structure and demonstration of current industry practice.

It is not an exercise in theory or standards development. It is a practical introduction and part of a “HOW TO” series that will provide real world advice on project applications and delivery of .ifc outcomes, as well as how to troubleshoot and overcome challenges and issues.

About the Speaker

Scott Beazley
Scott has been involved with buildingSMART for over 12 years. As an architect by background, his experience has been in the design and co-ordination of building designs over the past 30+ years. Scott is currently working part-time at Mitchell Brandtman, a Quantity Surveying company on Australian and international projects model, checking and validating models, and consultancy on model data content and management. He also currently works part-time at the University of Wollongong, as Senior Research Fellow in the Sustainable Building Research Centre.
