In April 2017 we announced that bSA and ISCA have joined forces to improve Sustainable Infrastructure reporting.
ISCA (Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia) is reviewing its current rating tool. This has opened up opportunities for the rating tool to:
- Recognise and reward the use of BIM / Digital Engineering on infrastructure projects.
- Allow infrastructure projects to reduce the cost of complying with the ISCA rating scheme by using BIM / Digital Engineering processes.
To that end, bSA will be working with ISCA on how to achieve these two aims with the goal of producing a tool prototype within the next 3-6 months.
To help us kick-start the joint initiative, we asked our supporters to help us understand the infrastructure space better by completing a survey. We were delighted to receive over 115 responses and we thank all of you who devoted your time and expertise to generously completing the survey. Your efforts have allowed us to produce the infographic below with the main highlights from the survey and our next steps.
