NSW Government Architect's Office and IAI-AC Meeting

On 21 June 2006, 8:15-12:00 noon, the NSW Government Architect's Office in conjunction with the International Alliance for Interoperability - Australasia Chapter will present a vision for the construction industry which will improve communications, productivity, delivery time, cost and quality of building. Building Information Modelling (BIM) using the IAI's open information standard IFC integrates design, construction, operations and maintenance over the life cycle of buildings. The meeting is a forum for government agencies and industry to discuss the opportunity IFC and BIM provide as a national standard for information sharing in the Construction Industry. Presentations will include the FM Exemplar Project case study which has examined the use of standardised BIM for FM/AM services at the Sydney Opera House.
